Montoya Wins Brazilian Grand Prix  [2004-24-October]

Juan Pablo Montoya won an exciting Brazilian Grand Prix in his last race for Williams. Montoya held off future team mate Kimi Raikkonen (McLaren) by 1 second. Pole sitter Rubens Barrichello (Ferrari) once again fell short of victory at his home grand prix.

The track was damp at the start with most drivers opting for intermediate tyres. However the rain was over quickly and the track dried out in the first few laps, causing everyone to change their strategies, pitting early for dry tyres..

Fernando Alonso (Renault) finished fourth, ahead of Ralf Schumacher (William), Takuma Sato (BAR), Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) and Felipe Massa (Sauber).
